Dessin Academy, OMR branch was inaugurated on Oct 16th 2014; the branch is successfully training young children till adults and providing courses from fundamentals to advanced levels. The branch is open on Mondays, and Thursdays from 5 pm to 8.30 pm and Sundays from 9.30 am till 11.30 am. The branch provides Exhibition and competition training and one on one training for both National and International Students via offline and online classes.

Mrs P Mahalakshmi holds an M.Phil in Corporate Secretaryship a diploma in Painting and is a native of Chennai. She has served as a lecturer in a few pvt. Colleges for more than 5 years. She has always been keen and passionate towards teaching when came across Kalai Valarmani Artist DR R Rajendran MFA, founder of "Dessin Academy" and was captivated by his way of teaching Arts and painting. She started her career as an Art teacher at Dessin Academy in 2014. She runs 2 branches one in OMR and another in Thalambur. Online and offline classes are conducted for National and International children, from the basics to the advanced level. Many of her students have participated in competitions and won numerous awards. Under her guidance, her daughter U. Malvika, a Psychologist and a Diploma holder in Arts is also guiding advanced batches, who have won many State-level competitions and participated in national-level competitions.
